Alfonso Rodés Vilà is the chairman of Havas Group Media and a member of the management team.
In 1996, Alfonso was appointed as Chief Corporate Development Officer of MPG. At that time MPG was operational in Spain, Portugal, and Mexico.
In 2001, with the group operating in more than 13 markets, he also became Chief Executive Officer of MPG for Spain and Southern Europe. During this time, the Spanish office doubled its revenue and the size of its portfolio.
Alfonso became CEO of Havas Media Group, the global media network of Havas, in 2006. With more than 8,000 employees and working with some 1,000 international clients, including Credit Suisse, Danone, El Corte Inglés, Emirates, Hyundai-Kia, Orange, LG Electronics, Philips, Puig, Reckitt Benckiser, Sears, and Telefónica.
In March 2011, Alfonso was appointed Deputy CEO, Havas Group and in 2016 was appointed Chairman of Havas Group Spain as the group moved forward with its integration strategy.
Before joining Havas Group, Alfonso accrued more than 15 years experience in the banking industry.
Alfonso is a board member of a variety of different companies, foundations, and NGOs. He has a passion for gastronomy, skiing, mountain biking and walking, and is a fervent fan of FC Barcelona. Alfonso lives in Barcelona with his wife and three children.
