Céline Merle-Béral is the Global Chief Human Resources Officer, Havas Group Media. Based in France, Celine oversees HR direction for all of Havas Group’s media business.
Celine’s career started at the Bolloré Group which she joined in March 1997. Since then she has been involved in various projects such as a venture capital launch and run media activities for radio, DTT TV Channel Direct 8 and free daily newspaper Direct Matin.
In 2008, she joined the Bolloré Group’s electric battery division and assisted in the launch of the Bluecar. In 2009, she was part of the team, alongside Vincent Bolloré, in charge of preparing the Group’s successful candidacy to Autolib. She was also involved in the launch, as well as managing Autolib’s CRM and partnerships.
In 2011 Céline joined Havas Group as Associate Director of Human Resources in the Group human resources department. In 2014, she became Human Resources Director of Havas Media France. In June 2015, Céline was named Global Human Resources Director of Havas Media, with some 9,000 employees in more than 40 countries.
In parallel for 10 years, she has been Board Director for the Rivaud Group’s companies. In 2015, she was named Board Director of the Bolloré Group and the Financière de l’Odet.
Céline earned a DEA in Economic and Social Law at the University of Paris Dauphine and went on to graduate from the Paris Bar Association (CFPA) in 1995. The following year she studied a year at the University of California at Berkeley.
In her spare time, Celine likes to ride horses, reads science fiction books, races in the Paris Dakar, and served as a professional commentator on a few poker TV shows in France.
